It's a beautiful old hotel loved the place so much I'm getting married there next year

Went for Sunday lunch good choice of starters, mains and deserts went for the soup which was very good, then the carvery which was excellent with a fine choice of vegetables finishing off with the jam sponge and custard. I was full to bursting after all that. I have to mention the member of staff who welcomed us when we arrived and showed us to our table she made sure that we were looked after for all the time that we were there and was very helpful when we asked questions well done to everyone at TY Newydd.
Not great at all. We only stayed there cos had a whisky tasting at Penderyn. I wouldn't advise anybody! Bedroom dirty, noisy. Breakfast was an experience :frozen bread to make your own toast, instant coffee, waitress shouted from across the restaurant if we wanted full breakfast, warm yogurt... Oh and they ask for your card details at check-in, write them down on a piece of paper!!! Then say that this will be destroyed at checkout infront of you, well guess what, it didn't!! I had to ask for it to be done and it took forever for receptionist to even get to the shredder!! It's simply ridiculous!!!
Made for a lovely weekend get away. Hotel was a lovely country manor with a great restaurant. The reception is 24/7 including a bar to go with. The grounds are picturesque with amazing views of the valley. Room was a little dated with need of a bit more freshing up on the decoration as well as in the hallways. Otherwise everything you needed was there and bed is comfortable.Also is a very short drive to the near by distillery.
